Civtil is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit Civtil and how it is used.
When you visit Civtil, we may collect basic usage information such as the pages you view, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from IP address. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve performance.
Civtil uses Vercel Analytics to measure site usage and improve the product. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies or track personal information. It collects aggregated usage data such as page views, referrers, and device information without storing IP addresses or individual user identifiers.
You can learn more about Vercel's privacy practices at Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Civtil does not use cookies for analytics. We may use cookies only for essential site functionality. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings.
If you contact us, we collect your email address and the information you provide so we can respond.
If you sign up for early access to Civtil, we collect your name, email address, and any additional information you provide, such as your role or user type. This information is used to notify you about Civtil account availability, feature updates, and membership launch announcements. Early access members may also receive priority access or special pricing when Civtil memberships launch.
Civtil displays information obtained from public records. We do not create these records. We aggregate and organize them to make public information easier to access. If you believe a public record is inaccurate, updates must be made through the original government source.
Civtil does not sell personal information. Information collected through early access signups is used only for Civtil communications. We may share information with service providers such as hosting, email delivery, or analytics vendors who process data on our behalf, or when required to comply with law or legal requests.
Civtil retains analytics data for a limited period in aggregated form to understand site usage. Analytics data does not contain personally identifiable information.
Early access signup information is retained for as long as necessary to provide updates about Civtil account availability, features, and Civtil membership launches, unless you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Depending on your location, you may have rights related to your personal information. Since Civtil primarily displays public records, requests to remove or change public record data generally must be directed to the original government source. For questions about Civtil’s own data practices, you can contact us.
You may opt out of Civtil emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our messages.
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Updated” date at the top reflects the latest version.
